Hello!  I'm Charley.

I'm a Film, TV, and Theater actress and I live in Los Angeles.

People often say I look "ambiguously brown", but I am actually half Oglala Lakota (Pine Ridge) and a quarter Haudenosaunee Kanyen'kehá:ka (AKA Mohawk Iroquois -- from Six Nations) (#NativePride), with a bit of English and Scottish mixed in there.

I attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland to study Computer Science and ended up switching to Film.  After college, I worked behind-the-scenes in production, and then moved to NYC to study acting at the T. Schreiber Studio.

Some of my favorite roles include "Rachel" in It Will Be Okay, a young mother who crosses over to the other side after a devastating car crash; "Valentina" in Mummer, a young mail-order bride with a supernatural guardian and a

taste for vengeance; and "Rosie" in Rush, a tough but good-hearted First Nations woman who teaches a naive young woman how to survive in the Yukon during the Gold Rush.

I've also written and directed two short films, I Would Die For You and 1:17 AM, and have had poetry published in Spork Magazine.

My mother raised me with the Indigenous values of honoring the Earth and her peoples (the humans, the animals, the plants) as sacred.  This world and this life is a gift from the Creator.  We are but one part of this ecosystem, this gorgeous living organism that is our world, our Earth.  Because of this, I am a passionate advocate for a healthy environment, healthy water as a human right (#MniWiconi #WaterIsLife), healthy soils, seedkeeping, animal rights, and fair and equitable treatment and respect for all peoples.
